Spartanics Finecut-Plus-Rotary™:
Combination Laser Die Cutting and Rotary Die Cutting
System introduced to worldwide  materials manufacturers

Materials manufacturers seeking the speed and capabilities of rotary die cutters without the bottomless lifetime costs for dies -and also seeking ways to quickly and painlessly transition to short run jobs with the limitless cut configurations now in greater demand-- can now use the Spartanics Finecut-Plus-Rotary---Combination Laser Die Cutting and Rotary Die Cutting System http://www.spartanics.com/products_detail.cgi?id_num=60&styleid=2

Spartanics Finecut-Plus-Rotary™.

The Spartanics Finecut-Plus-Rotary innovation is expected to especially be valuable for companies that are increasingly combining short run and long run work, and therefore need different cutting tools for optimum efficiency.

An extension of the best-in-class laser die cutting system in the world, Spartanics Finecut Laser Die Cutting Systems, the Spartanics Finecut-Plus-Rotary is an extremely versatile cutting technology that can serve as the optimal cutting solution for diverse job requirements, with capabilities that include:

1) Rotary die cutting at speeds as fast as 400 feet per minute (121 meters per minute).

2) Tool-free laser die cutting with super-accurate single source lasers at speeds as fast as 300 feet per minute (100meters per minute).

3) Rotary sheeting - cutting variable lengths as much as 2X faster than traditional guillotine sheeters.

4) Semi-Rotary die cutting, with X, Y registration, perfect for interchanging job stepups while maintaining speeds as fast as 100 feet per minute (30 meters per minute).

5) Add-on modules for UV coatings, lamination, slitting and more.

6) State-of-the-art laser die cutting features ONLY found in the Finecut technology line---automated optimization of cutting paths for fastest web speeds without need for operator intervention or setup; entire job set ups from vector-based drawings in seconds; unsurpassed defect-free cutting on a wide range of polycarbonate, polyester, paper, abrasives, magnetic materials, and more.

Spartanics Finecut Laser Diecutting Systems http://www.spartanics.com/product_groups_detail.cgi?id_num=5 sheet, roll, combination sheet/roll, and now also combination rotary plus laser-- are used in a wide array of applications --- flexible circuits, membrane switches, gaskets, labels, cardstock and paperboard products, packaging, automotive and medical device components, discs, belts, and gaskets, novelty magnets, RFID tags, P-O-P display products, industrial textile applications, and more.

Molex TM-4000 universal crimp press
terminates large lug products up to 4 AWG

Molex Incorporated (NASDAQ: MOLX AND MOLXA) heavy-duty TM-4000™ Universal Crimp Press provides up to 31 kN (7000lbf) for bench-top crimping large lug products of up to 4 AWG.

The TM-4000 Universal Crimp Press is an inexpensive, electrically controlled, direct-drive press designed for mid-volume, semi-automatic bench-top operations such as those found in the automotive, industrial and commercial markets. Capable of production rates of up to 2,400 terminations per hour, the TM-4000 offers contract manufacturers, assembly houses and design engineers an effective and affordable method of applying a wide range of side- and rear-feed terminals to heavy-gauge wires.

According to Molex product manager Bob Grenke: "The TM-4000 press will allow our customers to reduce their applied costs - per part - as well as increase their quality through the use of a consistent bench top machine instead of a more manual operator dependent hand tool process. Compared to other standard presses, which terminate up to 10 AWG, the TM-4000 can handle much heavier gauges and is less expensive."

The TM-4000 Universal Crimp Press from Molex.

To help reduce tooling costs and provide production flexibility, the TM-4000 accepts most industry standard applicators, including air-feed applicators that process terminals mounted on Mylar* tape, as well as FineAdjust™ and Mini-Mac™ applicators with side and rear feeds.

The TM-4000 Universal Crimp Press meets the strict OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety and noise requirements and is CE approved, according the essential health and safety requirements of the Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive and EMC Directive, which reduces the risk of injury. Two attached safety interlock switches prevent the press from cycling if the guard is open or when it is being hand cycled.
