VJ Electronix demonstrate next
-generation technologies at APEX

VJ Electronix, Inc., the leader in rework technologies and global provider of advanced X-ray inspection and component counting systems, exhibited  at the 2017 IPC APEX EXPO, at the San Diego Convention Center. The company demonstrated new material handling automation for XQuik II with AccuCount Technology, along with the new and improved model Summit 1800i.

The revolutionary XQuik II with AccuCount Technology is now faster than ever. With available material handling automation, the XQuik system automatically counts  components at up to twice the original speed.  Parallel processing allows the system to aquire images and calculate component count in parallel with bar code scan, loading and labeling of reels.

The new Summit 1800i is an improved version of the world's most popular rework system. VJE has maintained the the benefits of high efficiency convection heating and the renowned 1-2-3-Go interface, coupled with updated technology for greater reliability and an improved price point.  Further refinements enhance the system's performance with ultra small components like 01005s, while maintaining its capabilities with large boards, oversized CPU sockets, connectors and large BGAs.

Also on display, the popular Micra is designed for rework of smaller, high performance components, such as Chip Scale Packages (CSP), Package on Package (PoP) and Micro Passives (01005). The enhanced Micra provides a larger 35 mm alignment field of view, expanding its range of applications into more automotive, medical and military/aerospace products.

VJ Electronix adds component handling automation to XQuik II

VJ Electronix, Inc., the leader in rework technologies and global provider of advanced X-ray inspection and component counting systems, introduces component reel handing automation for its popular XQuik II with AccuCount system.

The revolutionary XQuik II with AccuCount Technology is now faster than ever. With available material handling automation, the XQuik system automatically counts components at up to twice the original speed.

The new two-level conveyor provides automatic load and unload of reels. The operator may scan barcodes, apply labels and transfer reels while scanning and counting of the next reels takes place -  providing a significant throughput increase.

According to Product Manager, Frank Cosentino, "XQuik reduces time to return components to stock.  Faster inventory turnover reduces cost and eliminates the risk of line down events due to inventory shortages."

The XQuik processes either one 13" to 15" reel or four 7" reels at one time. Automatic counting algorithms mean no programming is required. The easily customized MES interface eliminates manual data entry, saving more time and eliminating the risk of human error.
